Sitakund botanical gardenand and Eco park:   





This park located in sitakunda upozilla of chattogram district in south estern Bangladesh.This is the oldest eco park in Bangladesh.It was established in 2001 under a five yesr (2001-2004)development project at a cost of Taka 3,35 core on 808 hactares(1,997 acress)of the chandranath hills in sitakunda.It is built up for common recovery to encourage bioderversity preservation new estates and elevate nature based the travel industry to createpay.The park belongs to 405 hectares(1001 acres) and the garden ,403 hactares (996 acres)under the Baridhala Range of Chattogram forest division.The Chandranath temple is 5 km away from the main gate of the park and the pilgrims have to reach the stepping over 1600 stairs,Sitakunda Eco park has 154 spices flora including fruit,bearing trees,timber and medicinal plants.

It has an emenent authentic foundation.whice is the endwnmenmt of numerous holy people .Chattogram is known as ''place where the twelve holy peope  (Bara awliar's desh)It is known as once a sage named Bargave made a pond(kuda) or sita devi shower in when her significant other master Ramchandra visited during his outcast in the forest from that point of view.its mame is sitakunda.Sitakunda was also ruled by various Buddhist rulers as well as by many muslim rulers of Bengal in the East.It is an explorer for these threeprimary riligions  in the country.

Sitakunda botanical garden and eco park providing an eco friendly habitar for the wildlife and creating  a healthy tourist spot .The park is reported to be able to receive 25,000 visitors in a single weekend with the botanical garden included,the number of visitors can reach up 50,0000.According to  the international journal of Biodiversity science and  management .
The park is rich with various flora and fauna.Natural Gymnosperm tree species like podocarpus nerifolin and different tpe of Gnetun and cycas has grown here.The park is especially significant for having a rare pant cycus.There is a perception tower,an excursion recognize, an orchid house a dosert flora house,a rose nursery and plantation of occasional organic products in the park .there are various type of inijenous and foreign flower and fruits.some native plants  that can be identified are joytan,nagalingam,banshpata ,tamal ,peduk,tezpata etc of the trees preserved have the identifiable ones are garjan,dhormara,dheua,halud,gutgutia,bohera,jarul,palash,dumur,sonalu,shimul,kanchan,chaplish,bura,huritaki,,amloki and haimanti of  the wildlife one can see deer of various species,monkey,hanuman,bear,hare and mong the birds,parrot,crow,finch,owl etc.
there are 150 specics of flowers in whice 35 type of roses,1500 species of tree along with medicinal.100 number or orchid of different types.A mordern green house is built hare.Three natural springs are situated here.Two of them are named ''Sohosrodhara and shuptudhara''.The springs look great during the rainy season.
It is very beautiful place to travell with friends and family.you can finf peace among the sound of  birds chirping.You  can enjoy with nature and natural beauty.The ''SOHOSRODHARA''jhorna is the most poplar attraction in the park.
HOW TO GO: By using road/tain/air from any places to chattogram,then by local transport to destination.
ENTRY: The entry fee is only 10 taka bdt.10 tk per headbut for educational instutions for every 100 people have to pay 100 bdt entry fee only,we have to inform before coming.This place is openn 24 hours.There is no off day by any means.
